Talking Together Services
Talking Together Speech Pathology is a private Speech Pathology practice. Please contact us to discuss your individual situation and we will advise on what is the most appropriate assessment and therapy services. New client information can be found in our links page for up to date information regarding fees and services. Payment is on the day and full card facilities are available. The appropriate receipt is provided at time of payment for claiming depending on your situation.
If you have private health insurance with extras cover your policy may include some rebate for speech pathology services. It’s best to contact your individual insurer for details about how much refund you will receive.
Talking Together Speech Pathology is able to provide supports for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. Please contact us for more details.
Children who have a Chronic Disease Management Plan can access some Medicare rebate for Speech Pathology services. Please contact us or your GP for more details.
- Initial Assessments: At the initial appointment the therapist will assess each client and establish the need for and goals of intervention. The initial assessment appointment usually are 90 - 120 min in duration and includes a full report within the fee.
- Therapy / Intervention Sessions: Type and frequency of sessions offered depends on individual client needs. Individual sessions are offered as 60 min sessions.
- Standardised Assessments: These assessments are specifically used for funding applications or diagnosis and planning and may take up to two hours to complete. These may be arranged on doctor, parent or school request, or on therapist recommendation.
- Reports: Comprehensive reports are provided which are suitable for funding applications or diagnostic assessments. These are issued on request, or by prior arrangement. Therapy summary reports for handover or school information are also provided.
- Meetings / Consultations: Available at schools and kindergartens for formal meetings. Useful for school entry and kindergarten or early intervention team planning. These sessions are billed as session time + travel.
- Home, childcare & kindergarten visits are completed as required to assist in social skill assessment establishing engagement goals within social and educational settings and supporting education of carers to best help your child.
